Thank you for your interest in volunteering with us! Our Non Client-Facing Volunteers greatly support DVIS operations and programs with just a 2-hour training and orientation that covers confidentiality and the services we offer.
Assist with filing, scheduling appointments, making buttons, data entry, and mailings. Admin support opportunities are available at all DVIS sites, including the Apache office, Shelter, and Legal Department.
Assist in organizing two donation rooms by checking, sorting, and putting away in-kind donations and helping maintain overall organization of the spaces so clients and counselors can utilize find and access items easily.
Supervise and engage with children in our playroom while their parents receive services. Childcare opportunities are available at all DVIS sites, including the Apache office, Shelter, and Legal Department. First Aid and CPR certification preferred.
Tabling volunteers represent DVIS in the community at resource fairs by engaging with the public, providing materials, and collecting information from potential supporters. Entails setting up and taking down table and pull-up banner(s), and returning all materials to the Apache office. Agency fairs are assigned as requests are received, and tabling needs are communicated through email by our Volunteer Coordinator.
SEASONAL & EVENTS
Seasonal and event volunteers may help at, prep for, or serve on a planning committee for one of our annual fundraisers like Mutt Strut, Best of Brunch, or Monarch Ball. There are also opportunities to support our internal holiday programs like Joy Givers and Gum Drop Shop, by helping track and sort donated gifts, wrapping packages, decorating, and loading into vehicles. We have also had event volunteers coordinate fundraisers in the community like blood drives and restaurant nights.
If any (or all) of the above appeal to you, the next step is submitting your application!
