DVIS works with the Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners (SANE) program at Hillcrest Medical Center to ensure timely and accurate collection of forensic evidence in domestic violence and sexual assault cases. These services are offered to any person whether they choose to report their assault or not. The SANE program gives survivors of sexual violence and assault a free forensic exam and preventative health care.
Sexual assault advocates provide support to survivors by providing referrals to community resources and checking in on the survivor.
