Abuse Intervention

Abuse Intervention

For adults who want to stop harmful behavior, take responsibility, and learn safer ways to relate to others. These programs focus on safety, respect, accountability, and real change in relationships.

We have several options depending on need:

Abusive Partner Intervention Program (APIP)

This program helps adults who have used abusive or controlling behavior in relationships. It is a group program that teaches respectful behavior and helps you understand how your actions affect others. You will learn skills for healthy communication and non-abusive choices, and work toward creating safer relationships. This program is usually required by courts or ordered by DHS, and it is one year long.

Circles of Peace

Circles of Peace bring people together with trained facilitators, supporters, and sometimes family or community members to talk in a safe group setting. The goal is to help people who caused harm understand what happened, take responsibility, and begin healing. This approach encourages honest talk, safety for everyone involved, and changes in how people relate to one another.

Caring Dads

Caring Dads is for fathers who want to build stronger, safer relationships with their children. It helps dads think about how their past behavior affected their families and learn safer, more respectful ways to parent and communicate
