The mission of the DVIS shelter is to provide a safe and supportive environment for women, men and their children escaping domestic violence and/or sexual assault.
The goal of services is to empower families to transition to a life free of violence.
We offer:
- Safe shelter
- Individual counseling
- Family sessions (parent and child(ren))
- Group counseling
- Case management and safety planning
- Advocacy through linkage and referrals to other social service providers as needed
- Assistance with transportation needs such as bus tokens and bus passes
