$150 provides for a mother and child to stay 4 weeks at our shelter.

We have a list of frequently needed items that may be donated for clients at our emergency shelter, transitional living facility, and who are in need following a visit to the hospital. For a complete list of needs, please click here. We also accept furniture that is used to furnish the apartments at Sojourner’s Inn, our transitional living facility.


Consider becoming a DVIS volunteer and join a terrific family of volunteers giving back to our community. Volunteers receive excellent training that prepares them for a number of opportunities including answering our crisis line, becoming a hospital advocate, serving in a legal capacity at the Family Safety Center, helping sort in-kind donations, and much more. Raising awareness to the issue of domestic violence and sexual assault is imperative to us helping stop the cycle of violence in our community.
