Our counseling programs are military friendly and also assist those who need help because of sex trafficking. We have a bilingual counselor who has been instrumental in assisting this population.

Domestic Violence Survivors Counseling

DVIS offers individual and group counseling services for survivors of domestic violence in the Tulsa area regardless of their ability to pay. We also offer crisis walk-ins Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. -4 p.m.

Counseling goals include:

  • Creating as safety plan
  • Reducing the risk of future violence
  • Increasing positive coping skills
  • Addressing the impact of trauma

Sexual Assault Survivors Counseling

DVIS offers trauma-focused, evidence-based counseling, and professional and compassionate care to all survivors of sexual assault at no cost. We provide 24-hour crisis services through our crisis line (918.743.5763), hospital advocacy and crisis intervention. Crisis walk-in counseling, advocacy and therapy for individuals and groups are also available. Therapy is available for teens and family members.

Counseling goals include:

  • Crisis stabilization
  • Safety plan for physical, emotional and therapeutic safety
  • Increase self-regulatory skills
  • Address trauma through cognitive processing
  • Reconnect to support systems, family and the community
  • Prevent re-victimization
