DVIS was selected to join the Oklahoma CPT (Cognitive Processing Therapy) Learning Community sponsored by the Community Service Council. Our staff will participate in Military Culture Training and state‐of‐the‐art training CPT, an evidence‐based practice for treating post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
“The goal of this project is to create a learning community intended to improve the knowledge of military culture and to facilitate rapid delivery and sustained use of cognitive processing therapy (CPT) for military/veteran populations and other groups affected by trauma, by supplementing clinical training in CPT within our community. CPT is a brief, 9‐12 session cognitive‐behavioral, evidence‐based treatment approach designed to address the needs of individuals suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and/or depression.” (Community Service Council, Tulsa)
This training will allow DVIS to be a catalyst for change in veterans’ lives within Tulsa and the broader Oklahoma community.
